WHAT IS TEMPORARY SUSPENDED ACCESS?

Suspended access cradles are a flexible, safe and cost effective method of access. A suspended access cradle system consists of a working platform fitted with man riding hoists and a safety device that climbs steel wire rope which is attached to a suspension system, often mounted on the roof. However, there are a range of different options dependent on the structure or the application.  Cradles can be used on a range of structures including;
  • Commercial buildings (Offices, shopping centres, warehouses)
  • Industrial structures (Storage tanks, factories)
  • Offshore installations (Light houses, oil rigs, sea walls, and jetties)
  • Stadium and entertainment venues
  • Energy installations (Power stations, hydroelectric, wind turbines)
  • Infrastructure (Bridges, viaducts)
  • Residential buildings
  • Monument, heritage and historical restoration sites
Once in place, a range of different tasks can be carried out from the working platform including cladding, construction, painting, glazing and maintenance.

ADVANTAGES OF TEMPORARY SUSPENDED ACCESS

Suspended access cradles provide a fast, safe, versatile, cost effective and a secure access alternative to traditional scaffolding, being simple to assemble with minimal tools. Advantages of suspended access platforms include;
  • Competitive cost compared to scaffolding and mast climbers
  • Initial set up and removal is very fast when compared to traditional methods
  • Versatile, modular system allows us to overcome many different access problems with special platform configurations.
  • Suspended access platforms to do not require tie fixings to be drilled into the structure, suiting glass and cladded facades
  • Minimal disruption to the building surroundings
  • Reduced security risk to the building (i.e-people climbing scaffolding to break in)
  • Aluminium construction guarantees a lightweight system with a high load capacity
  • In house design and engineering teams offer bespoke systems and drawings/calculations to support access solutions
Suspended access offers a truly flexible and cost effective solution to facade access problems.
